The Deltaco FB-51 is a 1 m OM1 duplex fibre optic cable with two SC connectors (2x SC) and an orange LSZH jacket. Each channel has a 2 mm diameter and a 62.5 µm core, enabling full-duplex transmission. Connectors are UPC polished with ceramic ferrules, providing standard optical contact quality for short-distance high-speed links. OM1 multimode specification offers 200 MHz·km bandwidth and supports 10 Gb/s transmission for distances up to 33 m.
This fibre optic cable uses UPC-polished SC connectors with ceramic ferrules for consistent optical performance and low insertion loss. The LSZH jacket reduces hazardous smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire, and the orange colour makes cable identification and routing straightforward in installations. The duplex design supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels suitable for network equipment requiring SC terminations.
Ensure both ends are free of dust and debris before connecting. Align and insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC port until it clicks. Use the duplex orientation required by your equipment for transmit and receive channels. Avoid tight bends and excessive tension on the cable; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to preserve performance.
Store and handle the cable in a dust-free environment. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools prior to use and avoid kinking. For installations longer than the OM1 10 Gb/s limit, choose higher-grade multimode (OM3/OM4) or singlemode fibre according to distance and speed requirements.
