Fibre optic cable Deltaco FB-51S-5 1.5 m SC Yellow
The Deltaco FB-51S-5 1.5 m SC Yellow is an OS2 single-mode fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 9 µm core diameter. Designed for point-to-point and patching applications, this 1.5 meter cable supports full duplex communication and is suitable for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling, server rooms, and telecommunications environments. The yellow jacket provides standard single-mode colour coding to simplify identification and cable management in multi-cable installations.
The cable offers low attenuation and stable single-mode transmission characteristics associated with OS2 fibre, enabling reliable long-distance and high-bandwidth links when used in compatible networks. SC connectors provide push-pull mating for secure, repeatable connections and are widely compatible with fibre patch panels and transceivers. The fixed 1.5 m length balances flexibility and neat routing for short runs between equipment racks or patch panels.
Before installation, verify compatibility of SC connectors with the equipment ports or patch panel adapters. Route the cable along planned pathways, avoiding tight bends and stress points; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fibre. Insert each SC connector into matching ports until the connector clicks into place to secure the connection. For removal, press the SC connector latch and pull straight out. Label both ends if needed for identification in multi-cable environments.
Handle the fibre cable by the connector housings where possible; avoid touching the fibre endfaces and keep protective caps in place until connection. Use proper fibre cleaning tools to remove dust from connector endfaces before mating. Store and route the cable to prevent tight bending and tensile strain to preserve optical performance and reduce the risk of damage.
