Fibre Optic Cable Deltaco LCLC-705 5m 2x LC Violet
The Deltaco LCLC-705 5m OM4 fibre optic cable is a duplex patch cord with LC connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed optical links. With a 50 µm multimode core and OM4 performance grade, the cable supports increased bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower grade multimode fibres. The violet jacket provides clear visual identification for organized rack and cable management in networking environments, data centers and telecommunications closets.
The 5-meter length offers flexible reach between equipment without excess slack, while the LC-to-LC duplex connectors provide compact, high-density terminations compatible with most transceivers and patch panels. OM4 multimode construction improves transmission performance for short- to medium-range links and helps maintain signal integrity for modern 10GbE and higher applications where multimode fibre is appropriate. The colored jacket reduces the risk of connection errors and simplifies tracing during installation and maintenance.
Before connecting, verify that both ends and mating ports are clean and free from dust or debris; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align the LC connectors with the device ports and insert them until the latch clicks, ensuring secure seating without excessive force. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; respect the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment or fibre standards. For duplex connections, keep transmit and receive fibers correctly oriented to maintain proper signal flow.
Store spare cables in protective reels or holders to avoid kinks. Avoid exposing the cable to oils, solvents or prolonged UV exposure. When servicing, label both ends clearly to reflect link function and document connections in your rack diagrams for future maintenance.
