Fibre optic cable Deltaco SCPT-1S-5 1.5 m SC Yellow
The Deltaco SCPT-1S-5 is a 1.5 m fibre optic pigtail with SC connectors on both ends, designed for splicing and high-speed data transmission. It features a 0.9 mm buffered fiber with a 9 µm core (OS2), an LSZH jacket and UPC-polished connectors with ceramic ferrules, providing low insertion loss and reliable optical performance for networking and data centre installations.
The cable uses OS2 single-mode fiber suitable for long-distance transmission, UPC-polished connectors with ceramic ferrules for stable mating and low back-reflection, and an LSZH jacket that reduces hazardous smoke in the event of a fire. Its 0.9 mm fiber diameter and 1.5 m length make it suitable as a pigtail for splicing into patch panels or fiber distribution frames.
Prepare the fiber for splicing by stripping the LSZH jacket and 0.9 mm buffer according to standard fibre handling procedures. Align and splice the pigtail to the installed fiber using fusion or mechanical splicing equipment, then protect the splice with an appropriate splice protector. Terminate the SC connector ends in the patch panel or adapter as required for your installation and perform optical testing to verify insertion loss and return loss.
Handle the UPC-polished connectors and ceramic ferrules with care to avoid contamination; always clean connectors before mating. Store and route the 0.9 mm pigtail with gentle bends only, observing the minimum bend radius specified by industry standards to prevent increased attenuation.
