Derform Zest Kreat Water Paint Set 'Magic Vehicles' (3D Kidea) is a children's water-activated paint kit designed for painting vehicle-themed illustrations on paper and card. The set contains water-soluble pigments formulated for easy mixing with water, enabling a range of color intensities and simple clean-up after use. It is intended for educational and recreational art activities that support development of fine motor skills and colour recognition.
Advantages
The Derform Zest Kreat set provides paints that activate with water, allowing children to control color saturation and create gradients without complex tools. The formula is suitable for use on paper and card and is easy to wash from most fabrics and surfaces when used as directed. The kit is compact and portable, making it convenient for school projects, craft sessions at home, or group activities.
Suitable for
- Children’s art classes and school painting projects
- Home craft activities and creative play
- Decorating vehicle-themed coloring sheets and cards
- Developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
When it may not be suitable
This water paint set is formulated for use on paper and card and may not perform well on non-porous surfaces such as plastic, metal or glazed ceramics. It is not intended for professional fine art on canvas or for permanent outdoor applications. Supervision is recommended for younger children to avoid ingestion and to ensure correct water-to-paint ratios.
Key specifications
- Type: water-activated paints (watercolor-style)
- Intended surfaces: paper and card
- Color control: adjustable by water dilution for light to intense tones
- Suitability: designed for children and school use
- Application method: brush with water
How to use
Wet a paintbrush and activate the pigment by dipping the brush into the paint pans or wells. Adjust color intensity by varying the amount of water on the brush. Apply to paper or card using smooth strokes; allow layers to dry between applications to avoid excessive paper buckling. Rinse brushes after use and store the kit in a dry place. Follow basic craft-safety precautions and supervise younger users during painting sessions.
What to consider before purchase
- Suitable surfaces: best results on paper and card, not for non-porous materials
- Age and supervision needs: intended for children; adult supervision advised for younger ages
- Project type: ideal for school and hobby projects rather than permanent outdoor artwork
Usage recommendations
For even color and minimal paper buckling, use moderate water on the brush and apply thin layers, allowing each layer to dry. Test colors on a scrap sheet before working on final designs. Clean brushes promptly and store the set flat to preserve paint pans.
