Network patch cord DIGITUS CAT 5e U/UTP, 1 m, RJ-45 – Yellow
DIGITUS CAT 5e U/UTP patch cord, 1 m, RJ-45 – Yellow is an unshielded twisted-pair Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling in home and office networks. The cable conforms to Category 5e (Class D) specifications, supporting LAN connections up to 1 Gbps and tested for performance up to 100 MHz. Both ends feature RJ-45 connectors with molded boots that provide kink protection, strain relief and a latch protection to prevent the latching lever from breaking. The yellow jacket offers easy visual identification for patch panels, switches, routers and workstation connections.
The DIGITUS CAT 5e U/UTP cable is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 5e standards to ensure compliance with channel specification requirements. Transparent blue colored RJ-45 plugs make it easy to recognise Category 5e. Molded boots with strain relief and kink protection extend connector lifespan and reduce mechanical stress. The unshielded design provides a cost-effective solution for typical office and home environments where full shielding is not required.
Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of your device (switch, router, patch panel or workstation) and the other RJ-45 plug to the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends or compression at the molded boot; the strain relief and kink protection help maintain contact integrity during normal handling.
Use this CAT 5e U/UTP cable for typical Ethernet distances within racks and between nearby devices; avoid running unshielded cables parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference. For longer runs or environments with significant electromagnetic interference, consider higher-category or shielded cabling. Store the patch cord coiled loosely and avoid excessive twisting when installing to preserve performance.
