Network patch cord DIGITUS CAT5e U/UTP, 3 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, green
Network patch cord DIGITUS CAT5e U/UTP, 3 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, green
DIGITUS CAT5e U/UTP patch cord, 3 m, with RJ-45 connectors on both ends in green. This unshielded twisted pair cable complies with Category 5e (Class D) requirements and is produced and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 specifications. The cable is intended for Ethernet networking at up to 100 MHz and is suitable for typical LAN patching between patch panels, switches and network devices. The molded boots include kink protection, strain relief and a latch protection to reduce the risk of connector damage during installation. The green jacket provides simple visual identification for cable management.
The DIGITUS CAT5e patch cord provides tested performance up to 100 MHz with specification-compliant characteristics including near end crosstalk (NEXT). Its U/UTP construction is suitable for standard office and data centre LAN environments where unshielded cabling is used. Molded boots with integrated strain relief and latch protection reduce connector wear and accidental latch breakage. The coloured jacket helps organise and identify network segments without affecting electrical performance.
Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding network ports on switches, patch panels or devices until the latch clicks into place. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends and physical stress; the molded boots provide additional protection at the connector ends. When disconnecting, press the latch protection to release the connector and pull the plug straight out to avoid damaging the cable or port. Use the green jacket to identify the cable function or network segment during installation and maintenance.
For optimal performance, keep the cable away from large sources of electromagnetic interference and avoid tight bends with radii smaller than the cable diameter. Use the green colour for visual cable management in racks and patch panels, and verify that connected equipment supports Category 5e performance for the required network speeds.
