Network patch cord DIGITUS CAT 5e U/UTP, 3 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, yellow
DIGITUS CAT 5e U/UTP patch cord, 3 m, with RJ-45 connectors on both ends in yellow. This unshielded U/UTP network cable is designed to meet Category 5e (Class D) performance up to 100 MHz and is suitable for standard Ethernet connections in office and home local area networks. The cable features molded boots with kink protection, strain relief and a latch protection on the connector to reduce the risk of connector damage during handling and frequent re-connections.
The patch cord is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 5e specifications, providing consistent performance within Cat5e channel requirements. Molded boots with integrated kink protection and strain relief improve durability, and the latch protection helps prevent broken locking tabs. The yellow jacket enables easy visual identification of the cable run and the transparent blue colored plug signals Category 5e performance at a glance.
Insert one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on the switch, router or patch panel until the latch clicks into place. Ensure connectors are fully seated and avoid sharp bends near the connector boot to maintain signal integrity. When disconnecting, press the latch protection and pull the connector by the boot rather than the cable to reduce stress on the termination.
For optimal performance, route the cable away from sources of electromagnetic interference such as power lines and large electrical equipment. Maintain bend radius guidelines and avoid excessive tension. Use the yellow colour to mark and document cable runs in patch panels or structured cabling systems for easier maintenance and troubleshooting.
