Network patch cord DIGITUS CAT 5e F/UTP, RJ-45 to RJ-45, 3 m, grey
DIGITUS CAT 5e F/UTP patch cord is a 3 m network cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and F/UTP (FTP) shielding for improved interference protection. It is manufactured to Category 5e (Class D) specifications and tested up to 100 MHz to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 channel requirements. The cable features molded boots with kink protection, strain relief and a latch protector to reduce the risk of connector damage. The transparent blue connector makes Category 5e easily identifiable.
The F/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference for more stable data transmission, while Cat 5e performance up to 100 MHz supports common Ethernet applications. Molded boots provide strain relief and kink protection, and the latch protector helps prevent damage to the locking tab. The transparent blue connector allows quick visual identification of Category 5e cabling.
This Cat 5e F/UTP patch cord is specified and tested up to 100 MHz and is intended for standard Cat5e applications. It may not be suitable for installations that require higher frequency performance or future-proofing to Cat6/Cat6a standards. For environments with extreme electromagnetic interference or where shielded end-to-end cabling and grounding are mandatory, review system grounding and shield continuity requirements before use.
Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (switch, router, patch panel or network outlet) and the other plug to the corresponding port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. Avoid sharp bends and heavy loads on the cable; use the molded boot for strain relief. If using the cable in a shielded installation, verify proper shield termination and grounding at both ends to maintain the F/UTP effectiveness.
For reliable connections, keep bend radii gentle, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines for long distances, and ensure shield continuity and grounding when integrating into a screened cabling system.
