Network patch cord DIGITUS CAT 6 U/UTP, 5 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, yellow
The DIGITUS CAT 6 U/UTP patch cord is a 5 m network cable with RJ-45 connectors at both ends, designed for Ethernet connectivity in offices, data cabinets and home networks. Constructed as an unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) cable and manufactured to Category 6 (Class E) specifications, it supports performance characteristics up to 250 MHz and complies with ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 standards. The cable’s yellow jacket provides clear visual identification in patch panels and cable runs.
This patch cord is produced and tested to meet Category 6 channel specification requirements, offering measured performance up to 250 MHz including parameters such as near end crosstalk (NEXT). Each cable is fitted with a molded boot that includes kink protection and strain relief, and the boot also has latch protection to help prevent connector clip breakage. The use of an unshielded twisted pair construction makes the cable suitable for typical network environments while the colored jacket and transparent red connector allow easy identification of Category 6 links.
Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports of devices such as switches, routers, patch panels or network interface cards until the latch clicks into place. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; the molded boot and strain relief reduce stress at the connector ends. For disconnecting, press the latch protection to release the clip and gently withdraw the connector. Use the yellow jacket to identify the cable path within bundled runs or patch fields.
Install and test within a Category 6 cabling channel to ensure end-to-end compliance with ISO/IEC and EN specifications. Avoid running the cable parallel and in close proximity to high-voltage power lines to minimize potential interference, and maintain bend radii recommended by structured cabling best practices to preserve signal integrity.
