Network Cable Digitus CAT 6A U/UTP patch cord RJ-45 Cat6a 7m Grey
The DIGITUS Category 6A U/UTP patch cord, 7 m, is a high-performance network cable designed for structured cabling installations. It features RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and an unshielded twisted pair construction that meets Category 6A (Class EA) requirements. The cable is PoE+ ready and uses copper conductors housed in an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath for improved fire behaviour and reduced smoke emissions. A transparent yellow connector identifies the Category 6A rating.
This Cat6A U/UTP patch cord is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6A specifications, ensuring channel compliance and performance up to 500 MHz, including NEXT characteristics. Each cable has a molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and a latch protection to prevent the latching lever from breaking. The combination of copper conductors, gold-plated contacts and LSZH sheath provides reliable signal transmission, durability and enhanced safety in case of fire.
Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (switch, patch panel or NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable without excessive bending and avoid placing heavy objects on it; use the molded boot and kink protection to reduce stress at connection points. The cable is ready for immediate installation in structured cabling systems and supports typical Ethernet setups up to Cat6A specifications.
For best performance, install the patch cord within a compliant Category 6A channel and avoid running parallel to high-voltage power lines. Use proper cable management and maintain the minimum bend radius; replace any cable that shows visible damage to the sheath or connectors.
