DIGITUS CAT 6 U-UTP Slim 0.5 m gray, pack of 10 are a set of ten slim unshielded twisted-pair patch cables designed for short patching runs and high-density cabling. Each 0.5 m cable supports CAT6 performance with transmission frequency up to 250 MHz and Gigabit Ethernet data rates. The reduced outer diameter and flexible LSZH jacket make these cables suitable for tight spaces in patch panels, switch cabinets and office installations while maintaining compatibility with standard RJ45 ports and EIA/TIA 568B wiring.
The slim construction (approximately 2.7 mm total diameter) and flexible jacket allow space-saving routing and improved cable management without compromising electrical performance. Stranded AWG 32/7 bare copper conductors provide flexibility for repeated mating and movement, while molded anti-kink sleeves with strain relief and locking lever protection reduce the risk of connector damage. The LSZH outer casing limits smoke and toxic gas emissions in case of fire and the cables comply with relevant CAT6 standards for predictable, reliable operation.
Connect one RJ45 plug to the network device (switch, router or patch panel) and the other RJ45 plug to the target port on the connected equipment. Ensure the locking lever is fully engaged and the molded strain relief is seated to reduce mechanical stress on the connector. Use the 0.5 m length for short patching runs to keep cable bundles neat and to minimise excess slack in high-density environments. Do not exceed the recommended bending radius near the connector to preserve signal integrity.
For optimal performance, route the slim patch cables away from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid sharp bends or kinks. When deploying Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices, verify that connected equipment complies with PoE/PoE+ specifications and that power dissipation within bundled cables remains within safe limits. Replace cables showing visible damage to the jacket or connectors to maintain network reliability.
