The DIGITUS Freestanding rack Digitus DN-19 42U-6/8-1 is a 42U network cabinet from the Unique Series designed for indoor IT infrastructure use. With external dimensions of 600 mm width and 800 mm depth, an IP20 protection rating and a maximum load capacity of 800 kg, this freestanding rack provides space and structural strength for switches, servers and patch panels in data closets, server rooms and telecommunications cabinets. The cabinet is manufactured from up to 1.5 mm sheet steel and finished in grey with an electrostatic powder coating. Two pairs of adjustable 483 mm (19”) galvanized profile rails are fitted inside and are labeled with readable rack unit markings in both directions. The collapsible and modular design, removable side panels and reversible door hinges support flexible installation and maintenance.

How to use

Place the freestanding rack on a level, stable floor in an indoor environment that meets the IP20 requirement. Adjust the internal profile rails to the depth required by your equipment and secure them to the depth bars. Install 19” devices such as patch panels, switches and servers onto the galvanized profile rails using appropriate rack screws and earthing measures. Use the sliding cable entry and brush inlets for clean cable routing and seal unused openings with the provided seals. If active cooling is required, use the removable roof lid to fit fan modules; ensure proper airflow through the ventilation slits and maintain clearance around vents.

Usage recommendations

For safe and long-term operation, distribute weight evenly across the rail positions and secure heavy equipment at lower U-positions to maintain stability.
