This patch panel is constructed from 1.5 mm galvanized, cold-rolled steel, offering exceptional durability and structural integrity for long-term use in demanding environments. The design facilitates reliable signal transmission for CAT 5e networks, while the high-density 48-port configuration allows for significant space savings within the rack. The black finish provides a professional appearance that integrates well with standard server room equipment, and the LSA termination method ensures secure and stable wire connections.
This patch panel is designed specifically for CAT 5e cabling standards. It is not suitable for environments requiring higher bandwidth performance, such as CAT 6, CAT 6A, or CAT 7 installations, as it will not support the speeds or frequencies associated with those categories.
Installation involves mounting the panel into a standard 19-inch rack using the appropriate rack screws. Once secured, route your network cables to the rear of the panel. Use an LSA punch-down tool to terminate the individual wires into the IDC blocks according to the TIA/EIA wiring standards indicated on the unit. After termination, the front RJ-45 ports are ready to accept patch cables to connect your active network equipment.
Usage recommendations: To maintain optimal network performance, ensure that cable management accessories such as cable ties or horizontal managers are used to reduce strain on the termination points. Always maintain proper bend radii for your network cables to prevent signal degradation.
