The DIGITUS CAT 6A STP field termination plug is a metalized RJ-45 male connector designed for on-site assembly and repair of shielded CAT6A network cables. Supplied with a preassembled dust cap and bend relief, the plug supports connections from voice networks up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet and is intended for fast field termination without the need for special tools.

Advantages

The design features a robust zinc die-cast housing and a 360° cable screen connection to improve EMI protection. Preassembled protection cap and bend relief simplify handling while the construction allows reliable transmission even in environments with external interference. Rapid assembly in about 60 seconds and compatibility with a wide range of conductor cross-sections make this plug suitable for repairs, custom cable lengths and extensions.

How to use

Prepare the shielded CAT6A cable by stripping the outer jacket and folding back the drain wire/shield according to the plug preparation guidance. Insert the prepared cable into the plug until the conductors seat correctly and the shield makes full 360° contact with the housing. Engage the bend relief and dust cap as supplied to secure the assembly. The plug is designed for assembly in approximately 60 seconds without special tools when the cable is prepared to the specified dimensions.
