Digitus Fiber Optic Splice Cassette DN-96104 for 24x splice protection, black housing

The Digitus Fiber Optic Splice Cassette is a professional solution designed for the secure management and protection of up to 24 fiber optic splices. Built with a durable black housing, this cassette ensures reliable organization for fusion splices in various network environments. It features an included cover and specialized cable entries that allow for optimal core connection and neat cable routing, making it an essential component for structured cabling and telecommunication infrastructures.

Advantages

This splice cassette provides robust physical protection for delicate fiber optic connections, safeguarding them against dust, strain, and accidental damage. The thoughtful inclusion of a cover keeps internal splices securely enclosed and protected over long periods of operation. Integrated cable entries facilitate smooth cable management, ensuring that individual fibers are routed correctly without excessive bending or stress, which helps maintain signal integrity across the entire network.

Suitable for

• Professional network installations and data centers
• Telecommunication and FTTH infrastructure projects
• Fiber optic management systems requiring organized splice protection
• Structured cabling setups with high-density fiber requirements

When it may not be suitable

This product may not be suitable for applications that require outdoor deployment without an additional weatherproof enclosure, as the cassette itself is designed for internal housing within distribution boxes or patch panels. Furthermore, it is not intended for non-fiber cabling or setups exceeding a capacity of 24 splices per cassette.

Key specifications

• Maximum splice capacity: 24 pieces
• Housing colour: Black
• Includes protective cover
• Quantity per pack: 1 piece
• Width: 170 mm
• Depth: 10 mm
• Height: 100 mm
• Package dimensions: 100 mm width, 170 mm depth, 10 mm height

How to use

Install the Digitus Fiber Optic Splice Cassette inside a compatible patch panel, wall outlet, or fiber distribution box. Route incoming and outgoing fiber optic cables through the designated cable entries. Secure the fusion splices inside the holding slots provided within the cassette to ensure they remain immobile. Once all fibers are neatly organized and spliced, place the included cover securely over the cassette to protect the connections from dust and physical contact.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify compatibility with your existing patch panels, enclosures, or distribution boxes
• Check the maximum splice capacity to ensure it meets your project requirements
• Ensure internal mounting space is sufficient for the cassette dimensions

Always maintain proper bending radii for fiber optic cables during installation and avoid exceeding the maximum capacity of 24 splices per cassette to ensure long-term network reliability.
