The Digitus Fixed Shelf with Variable Rails for 483 mm 19 Inch Cabinets 1U Black DN-97649 is a reliable solution designed for fixed mounting in standard 19-inch server cabinets and racks. Built from sturdy, perforated steel sheet, this 1U black shelf provides a stable platform for various hardware components and peripherals that lack standard rackmount capabilities. Featuring variable fastening rails with an adjustable depth ranging from 700 to 1180 mm, it accommodates different cabinet sizes and ensures a secure 4-point installation on the front and rear 19-inch profile rails. With a maximum load capacity of up to 50 kg, this shelf is engineered to support demanding networking and server equipment efficiently.

Advantages

The shelf offers exceptional versatility thanks to its adjustable depth rails, making it suitable for server racks with varying distances between the profile rails. Its robust perforated steel construction ensures optimal airflow around the placed devices, preventing heat buildup inside the enclosure. The 4-point fixing mechanism provides high structural stability and safety for heavier hardware. Additionally, the included M6 fixing material allows for straightforward and quick installation right out of the box.

Suitable for

• Placing non-rackmount equipment and peripheral devices inside server enclosures
• Organizing network hardware and accessories in 19-inch server cabinets
• Supporting devices up to 50 kg in weight within network racks

When it may not be suitable

This fixed shelf is not designed for equipment that requires sliding rails or frequent pull-out access for maintenance. It may also not fit into cabinets that deviate from the standard 483 mm 19-inch width or cabinets with a depth of less than 700 mm.

How to use

Begin by measuring the distance between the front and rear profile rails of your 19-inch cabinet to adjust the variable mounting rails of the shelf to the required length between 700 and 1180 mm. Position the shelf at the desired height within the 1U rack space. Secure the shelf to all four profile rails using the provided M6 fixing material to ensure a stable 4-point attachment. Verify that the hardware placed on the shelf does not exceed the 50 kg load limit and is evenly distributed across the perforated surface.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the internal depth and height availability of your server cabinet
• Check the weight of the equipment to ensure it does not exceed the 50 kg limit
• Confirm that your rack utilizes standard 19-inch 4-point profile rails

Ensure proper weight distribution across the perforated surface and maintain adequate space around the mounted hardware to allow unimpeded airflow inside the server cabinet.
