Networking cable DIGITUS LOGON SSTP Cat6a, 10 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, violet
DIGITUS LOGON SSTP Cat6a networking cable, 10 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, violet is a shielded patch cable designed for high-speed wired Ethernet connections. Compliant with Cat6a specifications, the cable supports data rates up to 10 Gbps and provides consistent 100 Ohm impedance across its four twisted pairs. The SSTP construction combines foil on each pair with an overall braided shield to reduce electromagnetic interference, while the LSOH violet jacket makes it suitable for indoor installations where low smoke and halogen-free materials are required.
The SSTP shielding offers improved EMI protection compared with unshielded cables, helping to maintain signal integrity in environments with electrical noise. The 4 x 2 x AWG 26/7 stranded conductor design balances flexibility and reliable transmission for patching between devices and distribution panels. Fitted with shielded RJ-45 male connectors on both ends and boots with kink protection and strain relief, the cable resists connector damage and preserves contact reliability during installation and use.
Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router, NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the patch panel, server or another network device. Ensure that the shielded connectors are properly seated and, where applicable, that the cable shield is bonded to grounded equipment or patch panels to realize the full EMI protection benefit. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; use the integrated boot and strain relief to reduce stress at the connector during routing.
For optimal performance, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and heavy machinery that generate electromagnetic interference. Keep cable length within the recommended standards for horizontal runs and verify terminations with appropriate testing tools after installation. In installations requiring grounding, ensure the shield continuity to ground at one or both ends according to site grounding practices.
