The PLANET IEEE POE-161S 802.3at Gigabit Power over Ethernet Plus Splitter converts 52–56V DC power delivered over an Ethernet cable into selectable 5V or 12V DC outputs while passing through Gigabit Ethernet data. Compliant with the IEEE 802.3at PoE Plus standard and supporting up to 25.5 W input power, the POE-161S is a compact white plastic splitter (95 × 70 × 25 mm) designed to power higher-demand network devices without a separate power outlet.

How to use

Install the POE-161S between an IEEE 802.3at PoE Plus injector (or PoE Plus switch/media converter) and the powered device. Use a single Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable to carry power and data from the PoE injector to the splitter; the splitter separates the data and provides the selected DC output via its DC plug to the device. Set the DIP switch to the required 5V or 12V output before connecting the powered device and ensure the injector or switch can supply sufficient power (up to 25.5 W).
