Fibre optic cable EASYLAN LCD–LCD OS2 1 m, yellow, InfiniBand-compatible
The EASYLAN fibre optic patch cable with LCD–LCD connectors is a 1 m single-mode OS2 jumper designed for high-speed optical links and InfiniBand-compatible connections. Its yellow jacket and LC Duplex connectors provide a standard visual identification for single-mode installations. The cable is intended to deliver low attenuation and stable single-mode transmission over short interconnect distances in data centres, server racks and point-to-point links.
The cable offers reliable single-mode performance with low insertion loss suitable for high-bandwidth applications. Compact LC connectors allow for high-density port configurations in panels and switches. The 1 m length reduces excess cable slack in rack-mounted environments, improving airflow and cable management. The yellow outer jacket identifies the OS2 single-mode type for consistent deployment and maintenance.
Inspect connector end-faces and ensure dust caps are removed before insertion. Align LC connectors with device ports and insert until a secure click is felt; avoid excessive force. Route the 1 m cable to minimise bends below the fibre bend radius and secure it with cable management ties or trays to prevent strain on connectors. For removal, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.
For optimal performance, keep connector end-faces clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and perform visual inspection or testing after installation. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; store unused cables with protective caps in dry, dust-free conditions. Use the yellow OS2 jumper in single-mode paths to maintain consistent network documentation and colour coding.
