EASYLAN LSD42200020 is a 2 m OM4 multimode fibre optic duplex patch cable with LC connectors on both ends, designed for full-duplex high-speed data transmission. The cable uses 50 µm core multimode fibre suitable for short to medium distance links in data centers, network switches, servers and storage systems. A patented LED safety feature lights both ends when a detector contacts one end, reducing the risk of accidental disconnection and making cable tracing straightforward.
The OM4 multimode construction supports higher bandwidth and improved modal dispersion performance compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling reliable transmission for 10 Gbit/s and higher short-range applications. The patented LED excitation at both cable ends improves operational safety and simplifies identification of connected links. The duplex LC/LC full-duplex configuration provides a compact, standardized connector interface for modern networking equipment.
This OM4 multimode cable is not intended for long-haul singlemode fibre links; for long-distance or metropolitan-area networks, singlemode fibre with appropriate connectors is required. It also does not replace specialized ruggedized or armoured outdoor cables designed for direct burial or harsh environmental exposure.
Plug the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on patch panels, switches or transceivers, ensuring correct transmit/receive orientation for full-duplex operation. When using the LED detection feature, contact the detector to one cable end to activate illumination of both ends for easy tracing. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the cable's minimum bend radius during installation to preserve optical performance.
For reliable performance, route the cable through cable management trays or ducts, avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius, and regularly inspect connector end-faces for cleanliness. Use the LED feature to quickly identify and verify active patch connections during maintenance.
