Permanent Marker Fine Tip Edding 780 Gold
The Edding 780 Permanent Marker Fine Tip in gold is a gloss paint marker designed for highly opaque, permanent and smudge-proof writing and decorating on smooth and even dark or transparent surfaces such as glass, metal, plastic and coated paper. It has a metal-framed plastic extra-fine nib with an approximate stroke width of 0.8 mm. The paint-like pigment ink is quick-drying, waterproof, weatherproof, extremely lightfast and wear-resistant; the marker uses a valve system for even ink flow and a foil seal to guarantee the product is unused on purchase. The barrel is high-quality aluminium and the ink is low-odour without added toluene or xylene.
The permanent opaque ink adheres reliably to surfaces where ordinary inks smudge, providing long-lasting indoor and outdoor resistance. The extra-fine nib enables precise writing and detailed drawing. Metallic gold offers a high-gloss, shimmery finish with good coverage thanks to the valve-system. Spare nibs are available for extended use.
Shake the marker well before use to mix the pigment ink. Remove the foil seal if present. Press the nib gently on the surface until the ink starts to flow and test on a scrap area if necessary. Apply with even pressure for a consistent gold line; the extra-fine 0.8 mm tip is suitable for precise lettering and detailed drawing. After use, cap the marker tightly to prevent drying. Replace the nib with a spare if wear affects line quality.
For best results, use on clean, dry and grease-free surfaces. Allow the ink to dry fully before handling; drying time may vary by material and layer thickness. For non-porous surfaces like glass or metal, test adhesion first if the item will be exposed to heavy abrasion or dishwashing. Store horizontally when not in use to maintain even ink distribution.
