Permanent Marker Edding 8400 Bullet Tip Red
The Edding 8400 permanent marker with a bullet tip is designed for reliable, permanent marking of optical media such as CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Its water-based, solvent-free pigment ink provides durable, fade-resistant writing while the soft, flexible nib protects disc surfaces from scratches or damage. This model is supplied in red and is compact and easy to handle (length 145 mm, width 15 mm).
The soft, flexible bullet nib marks cleanly without scratching the disc surface and the pigment-based permanent ink dries quickly and resists smudging and water. The water-based, solvent-free formulation reduces the risk of chemical damage to media coatings. Compact dimensions and a clear red colour make the marker practical for office and home archiving tasks.
Before marking, ensure the disc surface is clean and dry. Hold the marker at a slight angle and write gently to let the soft nib make contact without pressing hard. Allow the ink to dry for a few seconds before stacking or storing discs. Recap the marker after use to prevent the nib from drying out.
For maximum data safety, use this marker only on the labelled side of discs and avoid writing over the inner hub or near the disc edge. Store the marker horizontally and keep it capped when not in use.
