The Edimax ES-5500G V3 is an unmanaged 5-port Gigabit Ethernet desktop switch that provides 10/100/1000 Mbps connectivity for home and small office (SOHO) networks. Its compact plastic housing and plug-and-play design allow easy connection of PCs, NAS devices and printers without manual configuration, while store-and-forward packet switching ensures reliable data transfer and support for jumbo frames up to 9 KB.

Advantages

The ES-5500G V3 supports IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab standards and offers wire-speed packet filtering and forwarding, automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover detection and correction, and full/half duplex support for 10/100 Mbps and full duplex for 1000 Mbps. It includes energy-efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) support and can be powered either via an AC adapter or an optional USB power source (USB cable included; 1 A USB adapter not included).

How to use

Place the switch on a flat surface near your network devices. Connect the AC adapter to the switch or use the included USB power cable with a suitable 1 A USB adapter (not included). Use standard Ethernet cables to connect your router, PCs, NAS or other devices to the RJ-45 ports. The device is unmanaged and supports plug-and-play operation, so no configuration is required; the switch will automatically detect link speed and MDI/MDI-X settings.
