The Edimax ES-5800G V2 is an unmanaged 8-port Gigabit desktop switch delivering 10/100/1000 Mbps connectivity in a compact plastic housing. It complies with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3az standards and uses store-and-forward switching with a MAC address table capable of handling typical SOHO and small office network needs. The plug-and-play design requires no configuration and provides reliable wired connections for PCs, network storage, printers and other Ethernet devices.

Advantages

The ES-5800G V2 supports wire-speed packet filtering and forwarding, jumbo frames up to 9K bytes, and auto MDI/MDI-X crossover detection and correction. It offers full and half duplex modes for 10/100 Mbps and full duplex for 1000 Mbps, and includes IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet (802.3az) features to reduce power consumption through inactive link detection and cable length adjustment. LEDs on the front panel provide quick status information.
