Unmanaged Switch Edimax GS-1026 V2
The Unmanaged Switch Edimax GS-1026 V2 is a 24-port Gigabit Ethernet rack-mount switch with two SFP uplink slots, designed for medium to large networks that require reliable wired connectivity. The 19" form factor includes rack-mount brackets for installation in server cabinets and delivers non-blocking wire speed with a switching capacity suitable for high-bandwidth applications.
The GS-1026 V2 provides 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and two SFP slots for fiber uplinks, supporting full-duplex communication and Jumbo Frames up to 9K to improve large-file transfer efficiency. It features auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDI-X, and store-and-forward switching to minimize packet errors and maintain throughput. The switch is fan-less for quiet operation and implements IEEE 802.3az power-saving functions such as inactive link detection and cable-length detection to reduce energy consumption.
Install the GS-1026 V2 into a 19" rack using the supplied brackets. Connect end devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports using Cat5e or higher cables. For fiber uplinks, insert compatible SFP modules into the SFP slots and connect to switches, servers, or storage devices. The switch is plug-and-play with no configuration required; ports will auto-negotiate speed and duplex and handle crossover detection automatically.
Place the fan-less switch in a well-ventilated rack area to allow passive cooling. Use Cat5e or Cat6 cables for Gigabit connections and choose appropriate SFP modules for required fiber type and distance. To benefit from power-saving features, ensure inactive devices are shut down and use cable lengths appropriate to your layout.
