This 1-meter single-mode cable features LC connectors on both ends with APC polish, ensuring minimal signal loss and high return loss for demanding telecommunications and data center applications. Built with a 9 µm core diameter and a durable LSZH jacket, it provides a stable and secure connection for modern high-speed infrastructure.
This patch cable offers exceptional signal integrity due to its OS2 single-mode fibre construction and APC connector polish, which significantly reduces back-reflections. The use of Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material for the outer jacket enhances safety in enclosed spaces by minimizing toxic emissions in the event of fire. Its compact 1-meter length is ideal for clean and organized cable management within server racks and patch panels, ensuring efficient airflow and easy maintenance.
This cable is not suitable for multi-mode fibre optic systems, as it is specifically designed for OS2 single-mode applications. Additionally, it should not be used in environments where the cable might be subjected to extreme physical stress, sharp bending, or temperatures exceeding the manufacturer's specified operating range.
To use this cable, carefully remove the protective dust caps from the LC connectors immediately before installation. Insert the connector into the corresponding port on your networking equipment until you hear a distinct click, ensuring a secure fit. Avoid touching the ferrule tips to prevent contamination, which can degrade signal quality. Route the cable through cable management trays to prevent excessive tension or tight bends that could damage the internal fibre glass.
For optimal performance, always clean the fibre optic connectors with a lint-free wipe or specialized cleaning tool before insertion. Ensure the cable is not bent beyond its minimum bend radius to maintain long-term signal stability.
