EFB Elektronik O0946.2 OS2 Fibre Optic Patch Cable, SC to LC, 2 m, Yellow
The EFB Elektronik OS2 fibre optic patch cable is a high-performance solution designed for reliable data transmission in professional networking environments. With a length of 2 meters and a 9 µm core diameter, this single-mode cable ensures precise signal integrity. It features SC and LC connectors with an APC polish type, making it a robust choice for connecting passive interfaces to active device ports in structured cabling systems.
This patch cable is constructed with a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket, which enhances safety by reducing toxic emissions in the event of fire. The OS2 single-mode technology provides excellent performance for long-distance data transmission, while the APC connector polish minimizes back reflection, ensuring a stable and high-quality connection for sensitive network equipment.
This cable is designed specifically for single-mode fibre optic applications and is not compatible with multi-mode fibre equipment. It may not be suitable for environments requiring different connector types or lengths significantly longer than 2 meters without the use of additional coupling hardware.
To use the cable, carefully remove the protective dust caps from the SC and LC connectors. Align the connector with the corresponding port on your networking device or patch panel and insert it until you hear a secure click. Ensure that the cable is not bent beyond its minimum bend radius to maintain optimal signal performance. When disconnecting, pull gently on the connector housing rather than the cable itself.
Always keep the connector end-faces clean and free of dust or debris to prevent signal loss or damage to the optical interface. Use appropriate fibre cleaning tools before every connection.
