Fibre optic cable EFB Elektronik O2513.10 10 m SC Yellow
The EFB Elektronik O2513.10 is a 10 m OS2 fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends, designed for reliable single-mode data transmission. With a 9 µm core diameter and duplex configuration, this yellow patch cable supports high-speed full duplex links and is suitable for structured cabling, server connections and InfiniBand applications where low attenuation and stable signal integrity are required.
This SC–SC fibre patch cable provides consistent single-mode performance with low insertion loss thanks to its 9 µm core. The duplex design enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for full duplex communication. The 10 m length offers flexibility in rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections while the yellow jacket makes the cable easy to identify in densely cabled environments. The cable construction is intended to deliver durability and reliable optical contact under repeated mating cycles.
Route the cable between the two devices ensuring gentle bends and avoiding tight radii to prevent increased attenuation. Align and insert the SC connectors firmly into the corresponding SC transceivers or adapters until they click into place. For duplex connections, ensure the correct orientation of Tx and Rx channels by matching the transmit port on one end to the receive port on the other. If necessary, secure excess cable length in cable management trays or ties to maintain proper bend radius and airflow in racks.
Inspect connector endfaces before connection and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools when contamination is suspected. Avoid pulling on the fibre itself; handle by the connector housings. Maintain minimum bend radius as specified by single-mode cabling standards and store the cable coiled loosely when not in use.
