Patch cord ElectroBase K8456.20-BLACK RJ45 CAT5E 20m Black
The ElectroBase K8456.20-BLACK RJ45 CAT5E 20m patch cord is a 20-metre unshielded twisted pair (UTP) network cable designed for stable Ethernet connections in home and office environments. Built to the CAT5E standard, the cable supports high-speed data transmission for typical LAN applications. Its black jacket provides a discreet appearance that fits behind desks, in server cabinets, and along wall runs.
This CAT5E patch cord offers reliable signal transmission with reduced crosstalk due to its twisted pair construction. The 20 m length allows flexible placement of networking equipment without compromising performance. With standard RJ45 terminations, the cable is compatible with routers, switches, hubs, modems, computers and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The black outer sheath is abrasion-resistant and helps to conceal the cable within most installations.
Insert each RJ45 connector into the appropriate Ethernet port until it clicks into place. Ensure network devices are powered off or can accept hot-plug connections as per manufacturer guidance. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive stretching or areas with strong electromagnetic interference. For patch panel installations, plug the cable into the designated port and secure any cable management to maintain tidy runs.
For optimal performance, avoid running the patch cord parallel and close to mains power cables or large electrical devices. Use cable ties or cable management clips to prevent strain on connectors and to keep runs organized. If you require longer runs or increased immunity to interference, consider shielded cables or higher category standards appropriate to your network needs.
