Optical patch cord electro base SC/SC MM OM3 10 m LSZH
Optical patch cord electro base SC/SC MM OM3 10 m LSZH is a multimode fiber jumper designed for reliable interconnection of network devices. The cable uses OM3 multimode fiber and SC to SC duplex connectors to support high-speed short- to medium-range data transmission in data centers, telecom cabinets and enterprise networks. The LSZH outer jacket minimizes smoke and corrosive gas emissions in case of fire, making the patch cord suitable for installations where low-smoke, zero-halogen materials are required.
The SC/SC multimode configuration provides stable, low-loss connections for duplex links and is compatible with standard SC ports on switches, transceivers and patch panels. OM3 graded multimode fiber supports higher modal bandwidth compared with older multimode grades, enabling effective performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over appropriate distances. The 10 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack and cabinet-to-equipment routing, while the LSZH jacket improves safety and reduces corrosive residues in enclosed environments.
Identify suitable SC ports on the devices to be connected and ensure both endpoints support multimode OM3 fiber. Carefully remove any protective caps from the SC connectors before insertion. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC adapter or transceiver until it clicks or seats securely; follow duplex polarity conventions (A-to-A, B-to-B) as required by your link configuration. Avoid tight bends and strain on the cable and secure excess length with cable management to maintain minimum bend radius and prevent connector stress.
Store and handle connectors with dust caps installed until ready for use. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before making connections to ensure low insertion loss. Route the patch cord through cable trays or management panels to avoid mechanical damage and maintain the specified bend radius. Use LSZH cables in enclosed or densely populated spaces where reduced smoke and halogen-free characteristics are required.
