Elmer's DISAPPEARING PURPLE 40g glue stick, sold as a pack of 5, is a solid adhesive designed for paper-based craft and school tasks. The glue applies as a purple tint to make application visible and then dries clear, providing a neat finish suitable for mounting paper, photos, lightweight card, and other similar materials. Each stick contains 40 grams of adhesive in a twist-up tube for controlled application and convenient storage.
Advantages
The visible purple application helps ensure even coverage and reduces the risk of missed spots; after drying the adhesive becomes transparent to preserve the appearance of glued surfaces. The stick format minimizes liquid mess, allows quick bonding with minimal drying time, and is easy for children to handle. Packaged as five sticks, it offers a practical quantity for classrooms, workshops, or home craft supplies.
Suitable for
- School projects and classroom use
- Paper crafts, scrapbooking and card making
- Attaching photos and lightweight printed materials
- Home or office paper repairs and mounting
Key specifications
- Form: solid glue stick in twist-up tube
- Color on application: purple (disappears when dry)
- Dry finish: clear/transparent
- Net weight per stick: 40 g
- Pack quantity: 5 sticks
- Suitable substrates: paper, photos, lightweight card
How to use
Remove the cap and twist the base to raise the glue. Apply directly to one of the surfaces in a thin, even layer using short strokes. Press the glued surfaces together and hold for a few seconds to ensure contact; allow the bond to set and dry fully. Replace the cap after use to prevent the glue from drying out. For best results, apply to clean, dry surfaces and avoid over-application which can increase drying time.
Usage recommendations
Use on paper-based materials and avoid heavy or non-porous substrates; keep out of reach of young children when not supervised and store at room temperature away from direct heat. For archival or long-term photo mounting, test a small area first and ensure the adhesive is fully dry before handling.
