The equip® Fiber Optic Patch Cable ST/SC OS2 2m is designed for reliable single-mode optical connections. With a 9 µm core diameter (OS2) and full duplex capability, this patch cable connects SC and ST interfaces and is intended for high-speed data transmission in networking environments. The cable is manufactured to maintain low insertion loss, good return loss and correct endface geometry for stable performance.
This Fiber Optic Patch Cable combines standardized SC and ST connectors with single-mode OS2 fiber to provide consistent optical performance. The 2 m length offers flexible placement in racks and equipment rooms while the construction reduces insertion loss and helps preserve signal quality over the link.
Verify compatibility of device ports (SC and ST) before installation. Route the 2 m patch cable without sharp bends and secure it to prevent strain. Align and insert the connectors straight into the corresponding receptacles until a click or firm seating is felt. For link testing, use appropriate optical loss and continuity testers to confirm insertion loss and return loss meet system requirements.
