The Equip Cat.6A U/UTP Slim Patch Cable 5.0m is a high-performance network patch cable designed for data centers, enterprise networks and high-density installations. The slim 32 AWG construction reduces cable diameter to improve airflow and cable management in crowded racks and patch panels while supporting up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet at frequencies up to 500 MHz. The unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) design with stranded bare copper conductors provides flexibility for frequent reconfigurations and reliable data transmission in low-to-moderate EMI environments.
The slim profile offers space savings and better airflow compared with standard Cat6A patch cords, while maintaining 10GBase-T performance. Stranded bare copper conductors and molded boots with strain relief increase durability and ease of handling. The cable is RoHS compliant, uses LSZH/LSOH jacket material, and meets ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173 standards for structured cabling.
Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (switch, patch panel or NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch engages. Route the cable through cable management elements and maintain bend radii appropriate for patch cords to avoid strain. For PoE applications verify the power budget of source and powered device before deployment.
Use the slim Cat.6A U/UTP patch cable in high-density installations to improve rack airflow and reduce clutter. Avoid running unshielded cables parallel and close to large sources of electromagnetic interference; if the environment has high EMI, consider shielded alternatives. Inspect connectors and strain reliefs during reconfiguration to ensure reliable contacts.
