Patch Cable Equip Cat.5e SF/UTP RJ-45 2.0m Green
The Equip Cat.5e SF/UTP RJ-45 patch cable, 2.0 m in green, is designed for dependable wired network connections in home and office environments. Constructed to support 10/100/1000Base-T(X) Ethernet, this cable combines foiled shielding with an overall braid to reduce electromagnetic interference and preserve signal integrity over its 2.0 m length. Both ends feature RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent conductivity and reduced contact corrosion.
The SF/UTP construction provides enhanced protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables, improving performance in electrically noisy environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts deliver stable connectivity and lower contact resistance. The 2.0 m length offers flexibility for typical desk- and rack-mounted installations, while the green jacket allows easy visual identification within cable bundles.
Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Ensure both network devices are powered and configured for the intended network speed; the cable supports auto-negotiation for 10/100/1000 Mbps links. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise such as large motors or unshielded power transformers. For patch panel installations, align the connectors with the panel ports and press firmly until latched.
For reliable operation, avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii greater than the cable diameter. When deploying near other cables or electrical equipment, use the shielding termination at both ends where possible to maximize interference protection. Label both ends for quick identification when installed in dense cable runs.
