How to use

Insert a 9 V battery into the tester and connect the cable to be tested to the appropriate connector (RJ45, RJ11/RJ12 or BNC). Select the desired test mode (automatic or manual) and initiate the test. Observe the LED indicators to read pair continuity, identify opens or shorts and verify wiring order. For remote testing of installed cable runs, connect the main and remote units according to the user guide before running the test. For PoE checks, connect the Ethernet cable and run the PoE test to detect whether power is present and whether it is Midspan or Endspan.

Usage recommendations
