Rack rail kit ERNITEC E-23INCH-RAILKIT for 23-inch equipment, adjustable mounting
ERNITEC E-23INCH-RAILKIT for 23-inch equipment is an adjustable rack rail mounting kit designed to secure network, AV and server devices in standard 19–23" racks. The kit includes 23" ball-bearing slide rails with a 45 kg weight capacity and is compatible with Ernitec 1U and 2U open bay servers, providing smooth extension and retraction for servicing and cable access. Rails are adjustable to fit varying chassis depths and simplify alignment within rack enclosures.
The adjustable design ensures a precise fit for different chassis depths while the ball-bearing slides provide low-friction movement for safe insertion and removal of equipment. A 45 kg load rating supports a wide range of servers and network devices. The kit reduces installation time by offering clear alignment and stable support inside standard racks, helping technicians perform maintenance and access cabling without full device removal.
Position the fixed rail sections inside the rack at the chosen U positions and secure them with appropriate rack screws. Adjust the sliding rail length to match the chassis depth, then attach the sliding sections to the device chassis according to the manufacturer’s mounting points. Slide the device into the rack, ensuring the ball-bearing mechanism engages smoothly, and fasten the front mounting flanges to the rack posts. Verify alignment and that the device extends and retracts without obstruction.
Use compatible rack screws and ensure the rack is rated for the combined weight of mounted equipment. For heavy or frequently serviced devices, periodically inspect slide bearings and mounting fasteners for wear and tighten as needed. When routing cables, allow clearance so cabling does not bind the slide action during extension.
