ESAB Welding Electrode OK 61.30 D 2.0 mm, pack of 5
ESAB Welding Electrode OK 61.30 D 2.0 mm, pack of 5 are rutile-coated manual metal arc (MMA) electrodes intended for welding unalloyed and low-alloy steels. Each electrode in the pack has a 2.0 mm diameter and is formulated to provide stable arc characteristics, smooth metal transfer and easy slag removal. The electrodes are supplied in a small pack of five, suitable for short to medium length welds in maintenance, repair and light fabrication tasks.
These OK 61.30 D electrodes offer consistent arc stability and predictable bead appearance across typical welding positions. The rutile coating ensures good weld pool fluidity and simplifies slag detachment after cooling, which reduces post-weld cleaning time. Their 2.0 mm diameter supports controlled deposition for thin sections and positional work without excessive heat input.
Prepare the base material by cleaning away rust, scale, paint and contaminants along the weld area to ensure good fusion. Select suitable welding current for 2.0 mm electrodes according to welding equipment guidelines and maintain a consistent arc length for stable performance. Strike the arc and proceed with short to medium length beads, allowing the slag to solidify before light chipping or brushing. Adjust travel speed and angle to control penetration and bead shape on thin sections.
Store electrodes in a dry environment and avoid prolonged exposure to humidity to preserve coating integrity. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow standard safety practices for MMA welding. For best results on critical joints, perform test welds to confirm settings and operator technique prior to production work.
