Welding Electrodes ESAB OK 61.30 Ø2.0 mm 1.4 kg pack
ESAB OK 61.30 Ø2.0 mm welding electrodes come in a 1.4 kg pack and are rutile-coated stick electrodes designed for manual metal arc (MMA) welding of low-alloy and unalloyed steels. These electrodes produce a stable arc, smooth bead appearance and leave slag that is straightforward to remove, making them suitable for general fabrication, maintenance and repair tasks where consistent weld quality and ease of use are important.
The OK 61.30 formulation offers reliable arc stability and good wetting properties that result in even bead formation and reduced spatter. The rutile coating promotes easy slag detachment and makes cleaning faster after welding. In addition, the electrodes are suitable for a variety of joint positions and provide predictable mechanical behaviour in welded structures intended for general-purpose applications.
These rutile-coated electrodes are intended for general-purpose welding of low-alloy and unalloyed steels and may not be appropriate for welding stainless steels, highly alloyed grades, or applications that demand specific filler-metal chemistry for corrosion resistance or very high strength. For critical structural applications with strict mechanical property requirements, consult relevant standards and consider electrodes specified for those conditions.
Select appropriate welding current and polarity according to electrode diameter and welding machine specifications. Clean the joint area from rust, oil and contaminants before welding. Strike the arc and maintain a consistent travel speed and angle to achieve uniform penetration and bead appearance. After completion of each weld run, allow the slag to cool slightly and remove it with a chipping hammer and wire brush before subsequent passes or inspection.
Use recommended current settings for 2.0 mm rutile electrodes, keep the workpiece and electrodes dry, and store unused electrodes in a dry environment to preserve coating performance. For best results, remove slag between passes and inspect welds for proper fusion and appearance.
