Module box ETI model 001101026 with metal door, for 24 modules, IP40
The ETI module box model 001101026 with metal door is a flush-mounted distribution enclosure designed to accommodate up to 24 DIN modules. Intended for electrical distribution and circuit protection, the enclosure provides a rigid installation platform for circuit breakers, residual current devices (RCDs) and other modular devices. The metal front door offers additional mechanical protection and a tidy appearance while the interior layout supports neat wiring and easy device replacement. The enclosure meets IP40 protection for indoor electrical installations where protection against solid objects is required but not against water ingress.
The metal-front ETI module box delivers robust mechanical protection for mounted devices and a durable, corrosion-resistant exterior suited to indoor domestic and light commercial settings. Flush mounting helps maintain a discreet installation that integrates with wall finishes, while the roomy internal depth allows straightforward positioning and connection of modular components. Built to accept standard DIN-rail mounted devices, the enclosure simplifies organization of breakers and protective devices and supports orderly cable routing.
This enclosure provides IP40 protection which guards against solid objects larger than 1 mm but does not provide protection against water ingress; it is therefore not suitable for wet or outdoor locations where moisture resistance is required. Installations that demand high ingress protection ratings, corrosion resistance for harsh environments, or specialized tamper-proof features should consider an alternative enclosure designed for those conditions.
Prepare the recessed wall opening according to the enclosure dimensions and secure the box in the wall cavity following local electrical installation standards. Mount the DIN rails and install circuit breakers, RCDs and other modular devices into the rails, ensuring correct orientation and spacing for safe operation and heat dissipation. Route incoming and outgoing cables through the designated knockouts or entry points, make proper terminal connections, and ensure all protective devices are labeled. Close the metal door after installation to provide mechanical protection and a finished appearance. Commission the circuits following applicable electrical codes and test protective devices before putting the installation into service.
Follow national and local electrical codes during installation, use appropriately rated breakers and devices, allow adequate spacing for heat dissipation, and have final connections and testing performed by a qualified electrician.
