Circuit breaker 3-pole ETI C-25AE 6 kA Type C, 25 A
Circuit breaker 3-pole ETI C-25AE 6 kA Type C, 25 A
The Circuit breaker 3-pole ETI C-25AE 6 kA Type C, 25 A is a three-pole miniature circuit breaker designed for DIN-rail electrical distribution and overcurrent protection in residential and light-commercial installations. It provides a rated continuous current of 25 A and a breaking capacity of 6 kA, with a Type C tripping characteristic that balances sensitivity to overloads and tolerance for moderate inrush currents from lighting and motor loads.
The ETI C-25AE combines compact three-pole protection with a 6 kA short-circuit breaking capability, enabling coordinated protection across three-phase circuits while occupying minimal panel space. The Type C characteristic reduces nuisance tripping on circuits with moderate start-up currents, and the stable thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism offers reliable, repeatable operation under typical load conditions.
This breaker may not be suitable for installations that require higher short-circuit breaking capacity than 6 kA or where selective coordination with upstream protection requires different characteristics. It is not intended for use as a main incomer in large industrial installations with very high prospective fault currents.
Install the three-pole breaker onto a standard DIN-rail inside the distribution board, ensuring correct orientation and secure fastening. Connect the incoming three-phase supply to the line terminals and the load conductors to the load terminals, following local wiring regulations and torque recommendations for terminal screws. Use the breaker as the branch or circuit protection device for the intended load; in case of overload or short circuit the thermal-magnetic mechanism will trip and isolate the circuit. After fault clearance, reset the breaker by switching it back to the ON position.
For reliable protection, match the breaker rating to conductor size and perform coordination checks with upstream protection. Periodically inspect connections for tightness and signs of overheating, and replace the device if mechanical damage or signs of wear are observed.
