Circuit breaker Eti-Polam C 1P 40A – single-pole 40 A overcurrent protection (002141520)
Eti-Polam C 1P 40A single-pole circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection for residential and light commercial electrical installations. The device is rated for 40 A and uses a type C tripping characteristic, which offers fast response to short circuits while allowing temporary inrush currents from lighting and motor loads. The compact module is designed for DIN-rail mounting in distribution boards and complements standard protective and switching equipment.
The single-pole construction saves space in distribution boards while delivering reliable overload and short-circuit interruption for one phase. The type C characteristic balances sensitivity to faults with tolerance for transient inrush currents, making it suitable for mixed circuits. Robust mechanical design and standardized mounting simplify installation and replacement in typical consumer and commercial panels.
Install the circuit breaker on a compatible DIN-rail inside the distribution board, ensuring correct phase conductor connection to the input terminal and load conductor to the output terminal. Tighten terminals to the manufacturer's recommended torque and verify clearances and wire sizes match the 40 A rating. Test the circuit after installation by switching the breaker on and off and verify downstream devices operate correctly. In case of repeated trips, identify and remove the fault before resetting the breaker.
Choose cable cross-sections and protective coordination consistent with a 40 A rated device and the type C tripping characteristic. Use the breaker for circuits where temporary inrush currents occur, and coordinate with upstream and downstream protective devices to ensure selectivity and safety.
