Fibre optic cable CUC Exertis Connect 392791
The CUC Exertis Connect 392791 is a 1 m OM4 fibre optic cable with LC and ST connectors, designed for high-speed, short- to medium-range network links. The cable uses a 50 µm multimode core that supports full duplex transmission, offering low attenuation and consistent signal integrity for data center, server room and telecom infrastructure applications. Its OM4 grading provides improved bandwidth performance compared with lower multimode categories, making it suitable for modern Ethernet and storage networking standards.
The 1 m length is convenient for compact installations and patching between adjacent racks or equipment. OM4 multimode fibre delivers higher modal bandwidth and lower modal dispersion than older multimode types, supporting higher data rates and longer reach for multimode deployments. The LC connector provides a small-form-factor, duplex-capable interface while the ST connector offers a bayonet-style connection commonly used in legacy and mixed-equipment environments. Together these connectors enable interoperability between devices with different port types.
Route the cable carefully to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress on the fibre; maintain bend radii recommended for multimode cables to prevent signal loss. Insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC duplex port until it clicks, and connect the ST connector by aligning its key and engaging the bayonet coupling until secure. Ensure connector endfaces are clean before mating; use approved fibre cleaning tools to remove dust or contaminants. After installation, verify link integrity and performance using appropriate optical test equipment or link status indicators on connected devices.
Store and handle the OM4 fibre cable in dry conditions and avoid exposure to excessive tension or crushing. For best performance, keep connectors capped when not in use, inspect endfaces before connection, and follow manufacturer guidelines for bend radius and installation practices. Use this LC–ST cable where device ports require these connector types or where legacy equipment must be linked to newer small-form-factor interfaces.
