Networking Cable ExertisConnect EXC 858536 Orange 5 m Cat6a S/FTP
The ExertisConnect EXC 858536 Orange 5 m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 5 metre patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. Compliant with Cat6a performance, the cable features S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The orange outer jacket improves cable visibility in structured cabling environments while the shielding reduces crosstalk and external interference to support reliable data transfer in home and office networks.
The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to limit electromagnetic interference and near-end crosstalk, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. Cat6a classification allows operation at up to 500 MHz, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet over suitable distances. The pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors provide plug-and-play compatibility with standard network ports, and the 5 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across desks, racks, and network equipment while keeping cable runs tidy and visible thanks to the orange jacket.
Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port until it clicks to establish a secure connection. Use the cable to link computers, switches, routers, patch panels or other Ethernet-capable devices. Route the cable along cable management paths or cable trays to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress. When deploying multiple cables, use the orange colour for easy identification in patch panels and structured cabling runs. Verify link speed and connectivity through network equipment status indicators or software diagnostics after installation.
To preserve signal quality, avoid tight bending radii and excessive pulling force during installation. Keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and strong EMI sources where possible. For permanent or in-wall installations, confirm local regulations and use appropriate in-wall rated cabling if required; use this pre-terminated patch cable for elevated or visible routing and patching in racks, desks and cabinets.
