The extra digital RTU5024 is a GSM remote switch and I/O controller with four relay outputs designed for remote control and access automation via the mobile network. It allows switching of gates, doors, lighting and other electrical devices without the need for internet or data transmission. The device recognizes authorized caller numbers and operates relays by rejecting the incoming call from an authorized number, enabling free remote control by phone. The controller supports quad-band GSM and can be configured by SMS commands or via a smartphone app. It is compact, made of aluminum, and intended for installation in residential, agricultural, industrial and business environments.

Advantages

How to use

Install the RTU5024 in a location with adequate GSM signal and connect the power supply (9–24 V DC). Insert a 3 V mini SIM card and attach the supplied antenna to the SMA connector. Program authorized phone numbers and relay parameters via SMS commands or use the RTU5024 smartphone app for configuration. Control devices by calling from an authorized number; the unit will identify the caller and toggle the corresponding relay without charging the call. Configure relay open/close durations and add or remove users by SMS as required.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation, mount the controller in a weather-protected enclosure, ensure a stable DC power source, and place the antenna where GSM reception is strongest. If used in applications requiring backup power, fit the recommended 3.7 V / 900 mAh battery or an appropriate external supply. Confirm local mobile network 2G availability before deployment.
