Extralink multimode fibre optic patchcord with LC/UPC to SC/UPC connectors, OM3 grade, duplex configuration and 2 m length. The 3 mm jacketed cable is intended for short-range multimode links such as FTTH drop connections, data centre patch panels and LAN equipment interconnects. This patchcord provides standard multimode connectivity for transceivers, switches, converters and optical network terminals where LC to SC conversion and duplex transmission are required.
The fibre uses OM3 multimode grading for enhanced modal bandwidth at short distances and reliable signal transmission in 850 nm systems. Factory-terminated LC/UPC and SC/UPC connectors ensure consistent end-face geometry and low insertion loss across both channels. The 3 mm round jacket balances flexibility and mechanical protection for typical rack and cabinet routing, while the 2 m length covers common patching needs without excess slack.
Route the patchcord avoiding tight bends and sharp edges; maintain the minimum bend radius specified for 3 mm multimode cable to preserve signal integrity. Insert the LC/UPC connector into the LC adapter or transceiver slot until it clicks, and insert the SC/UPC connector into the matching SC adapter or panel until it seats securely. Ensure connectors are clean before mating; use a fibre inspection scope or appropriate cleaning tools to remove dust and debris. Label both ends if required for identification in patch panels or racks.
For optimal performance, keep patchcord length appropriate to the link budget and clean connectors before each connection. Store unused cords coiled without tight loops and protect connector end-faces with dust caps when not in use. Use OM3-rated transceivers and patch panels to match the multimode performance and wavelength characteristics.
