Extralink LC/UPC – SC/UPC single-mode patchcord, simplex design, uses G.652D fibre with a 3.0 mm jacket and a 3 m length. The cable is terminated with an LC/UPC connector on one end and an SC/UPC connector on the other, providing a compact LC connector for equipment ports and a robust SC interface for patch panels. This patchcord is intended for optical signal linking between network devices, fiber distribution frames and FTTH terminations where single-mode transmission is required.
The patchcord offers low insertion loss and consistent single-mode performance thanks to G.652D fibre construction. The 3 mm outer diameter provides a balance of flexibility and mechanical protection for routing inside racks and enclosures. Factory-terminated LC/UPC and SC/UPC end faces ensure repeatable connection quality and compatibility with standard telecommunications and data centre ports.
Identify the LC/UPC and SC/UPC ports on your equipment or patch panel before connecting. Gently insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC/UPC receptacle and the SC connector into the SC/UPC socket until each connector is secured. Ensure connectors and ports are clean and free of dust prior to mating to avoid increased insertion loss or damage to fibre endfaces. Route the cable with gentle bends above the minimum bend radius and secure it to avoid strain on the connectors during normal operation.
Use a fiber inspection scope and lint-free wipes with approved cleaning fluid to maintain UPC endface quality. Avoid tight bends and excessive tensile force on the 3 mm jacket; follow standard single-mode handling practices when installing in racks, enclosures or FTTH termination points.
