Patchcord Extralink LC/APC–LC/APC Single Mode Duplex 9/125 µm G.657.A1 5 m
Patchcord Extralink LC/APC–LC/APC Single Mode Duplex 9/125 µm G.657.A1 5 m is a single‑mode duplex fibre patchcord designed for short in‑premises links and FTTH terminations. The cable uses G.657.A1 9/125 µm optical fibre and features compact LC connectors with angled APC endfaces on both ends to minimise back reflection. With a 5 m length and 3.0 mm jacket diameter, the patchcord is suitable for connections between optical equipment, patch panels and ONT/ONU devices where full‑duplex transmission and low insertion loss are required.
The Extralink LC/APC–LC/APC patchcord provides low back reflection thanks to APC‑angled endfaces and ensures stable single‑mode performance by using G.657.A1 fibre suitable for bent environments. Compact LC connectors allow high‑density port deployment in panels and devices, while the duplex assembly supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels. The 3.0 mm jacket offers mechanical protection for handling and routing in typical indoor installations.
Connect one LC/APC duplex plug to the corresponding LC/APC receptacle on the transmitting device and the other end to the receiving device, ensuring correct orientation of the duplex clip for transmit/receive alignment. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and secure it in cable management channels or ties to prevent stress on the connectors. Verify link status and optical power or continuity with appropriate test equipment after installation.
For optimal performance, avoid bending the cable below the minimum bend radius specified for G.657.A1 fibres and keep the LC/APC connector endfaces clean using approved fibre cleaning tools before mating. Use the patchcord for indoor applications and protected rack or panel terminations to maintain low insertion loss and long‑term reliability.
