Switch Extralink KRIOS 4x Gigabit PoE/PoE+ 2x RJ45 Uplink 60W
Switch Extralink KRIOS 4x Gigabit PoE/PoE+ 2x RJ45 Uplink 60W
The Extralink KRIOS 4x Gigabit PoE/PoE+ 2x RJ45 Uplink 60W is an unmanaged Layer 2 switch designed for small networks and surveillance installations. It provides four Gigabit PoE/PoE+ ports compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at to power cameras and other PoE devices, plus two additional Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports for network expansion or connection to recording equipment. The switch offers a switching capacity of 3.2 Gbit/s and a MAC address table of 4096 entries, supporting full-duplex operation and common IEEE Ethernet standards for reliable wired connectivity.
The device combines Gigabit data transfer and PoE/PoE+ power delivery in a compact, black housing weighing approximately 0.5 kg. Four front-panel mode switches let you enable VLAN isolation to separate ports, EXTEND mode to carry data and PoE up to 250 meters for remote cameras, AI PS for automatic device state detection and recovery, and AI QoS to prioritize video traffic. Built-in IEEE standard compliance ensures safe automatic detection of powered devices while preventing power delivery to non-PoE equipment. Total available PoE power is 60 W, with per-port support up to 30 W where applicable.
Install the switch on a stable surface or in a suitable rack or enclosure with proper ventilation. Connect your PoE devices (for example IP cameras or access points) to ports 1–4 and use the two uplink RJ45 ports to connect to your network backbone, router, or network video recorder. Select operating modes using the front-panel switches: enable VLAN to isolate PoE ports, EXTEND for long-distance links up to 250 m, AI PS for automatic device state detection and restart, or AI QoS to prioritize video streams. Ensure the total power consumption of connected PoE devices does not exceed the 60 W budget.
For reliable operation, place the switch in a dry, dust-free environment with ambient temperature within the manufacturer's specified range. When using EXTEND mode for longer cable runs, verify cable quality and test camera feed quality; reduce the number of power-hungry devices if the total PoE demand approaches the 60 W limit. Use AI QoS when deploying primarily video devices to improve stream stability, and enable VLAN mode when you need port isolation to limit broadcast traffic between connected devices.
