Patchcord Extralink SC/APC - SC/UPC singlemode duplex G.652D 3 mm 10 m
Patchcord Extralink SC/APC - SC/UPC singlemode duplex G.652D 3 mm 10 m is a 10‑metre singlemode fibre duplex patch cord designed for full‑duplex optical connections. One end is terminated with an SC/APC connector and the other with an SC/UPC connector, and the cable uses ITU‑T G.652D fibre in a 3 mm FTTH cable construction. The patchcord is intended for linking optical equipment, patch panels and FTTH network elements where reliable singlemode transmission and low insertion loss are required.
This singlemode duplex patchcord provides a stable optical link with low back reflection thanks to the angled SC/APC termination on one side and the polished SC/UPC on the other. The 3 mm cable jacket offers mechanical protection and ease of handling during installation and routing in racks or enclosures. Using G.652D fibre ensures compatibility with standard singlemode systems and predictable performance over long distances in access and metro networks.
Connect the SC/APC end to equipment or adapters that accept angled‑polish connectors and the SC/UPC end to the matching flat‑polish adapters or ports. Ensure connectors and adapter interfaces are clean before mating to minimise insertion loss and prevent damage. Route the 3 mm cable without tight bends and secure it with appropriate clips or Velcro ties to avoid strain on connector ferrules. For patch panel installations, insert the connectors into the designated adapter ports and label both ends as needed for identification.
Inspect and, if necessary, clean connectors with suitable fibre cleaning tools before each use. Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius, and store the patchcord coiled loosely in a dry, dust‑free environment when not in use. Use the SC/APC end where low return loss is required, for example when connecting to devices sensitive to back reflections.
